EXCERPTS FROM THE ATLANTA DIVORCE TEAM RADIO INTERVIEW WITH DIVORCE TOOLBOX FOUNDER, AUDREY SILCOX
Presented by Meriweather and Tharpe Law Firm, hosted by Leh Meriweather and Todd Orston
OVERVIEW
4:54 | One of the things that really drew me in before I even saw the product was your background and your story.
8:37 | Just because it is clear to us....Finding tools that can really bring things {understanding the divorce process} down to a more basic level is extremely powerful.
9:02 | This is a pretty powerful combination you’ve got counseling, co-parenting, mediation and you’re a divorce survivor yourself and you’re able to bring all those things together to develop this Divorce Tool Box.

11:01 | From our perspective we can talk to you from the lawyer perspective but from this, Divorce Tool Box, it’s going to get into a different perspective to set you up for success.
16:14 | The information you get is only as good as the questions you ask and so one of the nice things about Divorce Tool Box is that it tells you to ask a lot of really good questions.
16:40 | It (Divorce Tool Box) forces you to answer certain questions that maybe you didn’t know you should be asking and that is very powerful in and of itself.
SESSION REVIEWS:
SESSION ONE: FOCUST ON YOU
19:53 | One of the things I like about it (Divorce Tool Box session one) was talking about the different stages of grief because a lot of people don’t think about that they might be grieving a death ....Hopefully they can ratchet down the emotion that can really turn what should be a simple case into a much more complicated one and so Audrey, I love that part about breaking that (emotional aspects) down.
20:54 | The second thing I really loved was that some people lose sight of too, is your performance at work. There’s a segment in here talking about how you should set up some ground rules on how you deal with divorce so it doesn’t impact your work and get you fired – That was great.
21:42 | It’s not only you’re paying your lawyer but you’re losing time from work. So, it’s important to get organized and use the tools in the tool box.
SESSION TWO: ASSETS, LIABILITIES AND PERSONAL PROPERTY
23:37 | Session two obviously as attorneys, this is very important to us because when you really get down to the nuts and bolts of it, there’s the emotional side and then there’s the non-emotional business side of divorce - assets and liabilities and that’s what session two is about. I love it because it really hits a lot of things that we’ve done shows on ....
24:22 | Emotion is what will take a simple matter and make it extremely complex and make you spend way more money that you want to so session two really resonates with me.
25:03 | In this session, what’s so nice about it is that you go into some detail that we can’t always go into when you’re meeting with a lawyer maybe for cost reasons, I know a lot of times for time reasons ....but there’s a lot of detail here that you put in this session so you get people thinking again making sure they’re correctly planning their budget.
25:34 | The way I think of it is, it’s concentrated information ....What’s so great about the (Divorce) Tool Box is that it takes all those important topics and all that great information and it concentrates it so within these videos it’s a tremendous amount of information.
SESSION THREE: FORMING YOUR DIVORCE TEAM
29:13 | Divorce Tool Box is a national product. It’s not something that’s focused on any specific state which is really nice about it too.
SESSION FOUR: CHILD CUSTODY AND VISITATION STRATEGIES
30:52 | I love how you started this session you start talking about asking the person to reflect on some of their dreams and hopes when they got married or when they decided to have children.I think that puts someone in the right frame of mind rather than it’s all over, this is war ....and then, you got into the specifics of things you really should be thinking about.
34:20 | I love how you started this session you start talking about asking the person to reflect on some of their dreams and hopes when they got married or when they decided to have children.I think that puts someone in the right frame of mind rather than it’s all over, this is war ....and then, you got into the specifics of things you really should be thinking about.
34:39 | It’s (Divorce Tool Box) packed full of information and some of the information is things to think about, questions you should be asking yourself, questions you should be asking your lawyer, how to pick a lawyer all those things, what should be made up of your divorce team and those kind of things so really good stuff.
37:36 | Not every parenting plan can include every situation, it’s just not possible, but what I like about this (Divorce Tool Box) is you say you know what, don’t let one offs be surprised ....thinking about that ahead so when that unfortunate event occurs, it’s not a surprise.
SESSION EIGHT: CREATING YOUR DIVORCE PLAN
37:36 | Not every parenting plan can include every situation, it’s just not possible, but what I like about this (Divorce Tool Box) is you say you know what, don’t let one offs be surprised ....thinking about that ahead so when that unfortunate event occurs, it’s not a surprise.
